I am grateful to be employed by a company as solid and nurturing as JSI. The “Staurulaki,” as Douglas Meredith calls Leo and Manny, are top notch leaders. I have seen them take care of the sick, and hugged them at my own father’s funeral. I appreciate working for such a great company and wish them at least 50 more years of success!

50 years! This cannot be. Wow, where has time gone. Seems like only yesterday when we first visited your Mom and Dad in Bowie, and had dinner with them in the spring of 1969, at the Pigeon House Inn (now the defunct Jaspers).
Ah, the memories. From those early days, first—your Dad working off his dining room table at Sexton Lane, then moving to a town house in Bowie, a two-room suite in an office building in Lanham, and another one further to the West on Rte 450 and then finally, in the mid-seventies, to our own building. And, to look at how you all have progressed since those humble beginnings! What a fantastic story of hard work and dedication. And, you and Manny have certainly carried on your Dad’s traditions and you should both be very proud.
It is funny how life works out. I contacted your father back in 1965 when I worked for Highland Telephone in Monroe, NY. Shortly thereafter our company hired him to undertake a cost study. Five years later I moved my young family to Bowie with a handshake and a simple “if you do a good job for me, I will take care of you” promise. And, what followed was an exciting career that spanned 30 years and saw unimaginable changes in the telecommunications industry. And each step of the way, JSI adapted to and conquered the new environment and represented its clients well. What a sweet ride and great memories!
Congratulations on reaching this milestone! From what I know of your company and your staff the first fifty is just the starting point for you. Cheers to another fifty plus years!
Leo, Manny and all the JSI team,
Congratulations on your 50th Anniversary and I know all of the staff at JSI takes great pride in this accomplishment.
The entire staff at Duo County appreciates all the guidance you have provided our company as well as the rural telecom industry over the years. JSI has always been our “go to” source for clarification and guidance.
Again, congratulations and we look forward to another fifty years working with JSI.

You are a great group of people! Over the years, we have spent many days scrambling around gathering data for requests and cost studies and various other filings at the last minute. During those stressful times you really get to know a person’s and/or company’s heart and work ethics. I don’t know of any other company that I would rather be in the trenches with working side by side fighting for what is right for our customers, our company, our industry, and our nation. Thank you for all you do and what you mean to us! Happy 50th Anniversary!!
Congratulations to Leo and Manny, to the kind and knowledgeable staff, and to the employees and Staurulakis family who have made this company what it is today.
As we continue to battle to be able to offer new service and remain viable in the telecommunicatons and technologically advance industry today, we know we at Glenwood Telephone Company can look to JSI to help us find answers and be able to get the job done no matter what we are asked to do with all the filings and reports required.
I see that Bruce has commented on here already. He probably doesn’t remember me but I certainly remember him and the wonderful job he did for the Georgia companies in his testimony before the Georgia PSC back in the day.
Thanks for the good job you all do and God Bless all of you on Your 50 Anniversary.
Manny & Leo:
Congratulations on seeing JSI reach its 50th year of service. The things that have happened, the changes, the ups and downs and continued regulatory posturing. Through it all your group has been an experienced asset to small Teleco’s and to those I ahve worked with. From Sugar Land Telco in the 1980′s to Valley Telephone Cooperative today. Congratulations and best wishes on more years of success. Leonard
I went to Southern Tech in Marietta ,Ga. with Bruce Schoonover and attended his wedding in Monroe. Sure would like to hear from him.
